Modern Monty is a family business that began from humble beginnings, handcrafting wooden teethers, toys, and baby gyms in a garage in Peregian Beach, Queensland, Australia. Still rooted in the Sunshine Coast, we have evolved into creators of boutique, educational toys, flash cards, puzzles, and games designed to inspire a love of learning.
Behind Modern Monty is Kelvin, our co-founder and a proud dad of two adventurous boys. Driven by a deep passion for nature, Kelvin brings a unique vision to our creations, ensuring they encourage curiosity and connection to the natural world. His love for the outdoors and desire to nurture children’s growth through play is at the heart of everything we do.

Our manufacturers are FSC certified, operating in an environmentally, economically, and socially responsible manner. We endeavour to use natural and organic materials whenever possible, and we take pride in offering a range of single-use plastic-free, earth-friendly products, with many items crafted from recycled cardboard.
